Overview of the 5th session of the Sub-Committee on the Human Element, Training and Watchkeeping and IMarEST engagement

The IMarEST contributes to the work of the IMO sub-committee Human Element, Training and Watchkeeping (HTW) as part of its technical leadership strategic goals. This sub-committee deals with the human dimension of shipping and addresses issues which can affect many of our members, including training, review and update of model courses, and, guidance on issues such as fatigue.

This report provides a summary of the key discussions and outcomes of the latest session of HTW together with an overview of the IMarEST’s engagement in the work of this Committee and will discuss:
