WEBINAR: Aberdeen Maritime Joint Branch AGM, followed by DNV VOMA - Vessel Operations & Maintenance Audit

The complex interrelationship between vessel safety, operational efficiency and performance creates an equally complex challenge in how to manage it effectively throughout the O&M stage of the asset lifecycle. The lack of a cohesive and holistic approach can result in multiple individual efforts from different disciplines and departments, each focused on a particular area and making decisions based on a limited view of the overall problem.

This webinar begins with the Branch AGM, followed by a technical presentation on the topic of vessel operations and maintenance audit. The presentation explores such problems as well as introduces the DNV Vessel Operations and Maintenance Audit (VOMA) service which has been created to help vessel owners navigate these issues and identify areas for improvement via an independent, objective assessment of their current processes and procedures.

About the Speaker

Lewis Henderson is a Senior Marine Systems Engineer at DNV. Lewis began his career at sea as a Marine Engineer in the offshore industry before moving ashore into technical consultancy, specialising in vessel maintenance and reliability management. He holds a Master's degree in Safety and Reliability Engineering from the University of Aberdeen and is particularly interested in the role of Operations and Maintenance strategy in maximising vessel safety and performance. Within his current role as a Marine Systems Engineer at DNV, Lewis continues to provide support to the global marine industry in the areas of risk management, maintenance and reliability.
