WEBINAR: COVID-19 impacts on ship design

IMarEST TV recording by the North East Coast Joint Branch on the 31st March 2022. This webinar was presented by Dr Linda Sørensen, Head of HSEQ and Human Factors, Frontline Management AS.

This presentation explores the issues faced by seafarers in operating ships whilst at sea during the COVID-19 pandemic. It will discuss how such issues may affect the design of future ships and also potential modifications to existing tonnage.

About the speaker
Dr Linda Sørensen, Head of HSEQ and Human Factors, Frontline Management AS, Norway. Linda is a senior Human Factors professional with extensive experience gained in developing complex design, operational safety and efficiency solutions for the oil, gas, maritime and transport sectors in the United Kingdom, Norway and globally. She is able to identify problems in opaque environments creating solutions that deliver added value for organisations in terms of Safety, Performance and Quality by utilizing innovative SafetyTech.

Aside from Linda’s technical discipline skills, she has extensive project management and business development experience gained in complex projects and demanding commercial environments globally. She has built upon a strong academic background to become a recognised, adaptable and resourceful professional who can shift seamlessly between management, stakeholder engagement and programme delivery.
