About the speaker:

Bill Watts, CEng, CMarEng, FIMarEST is a business development role as LNG Technical Authority for Bernhard Schulte Group’s LNG Competence Centre in Hamburg.

Bill started his career as a Shell Apprentice Engineer. His first trip to sea was on the Methane Progress. He spent most of his seagoing career with oil majors Shell and BP and rose to the rank of Chief Engineer Officer. He holds a combined First-Class Certificate of Competency issued by the BOT / MCA. The great majority of his sea service was completed on LNG tankers. In 2006, he came ashore as an LNG Technical Superintendent for NGSCo in Abu Dhabi followed by LNG superintendency roles for Thome Ship Management and BP in Singapore
