WEBINAR: True zero, decarbonize shipping with hydrogen fuel cell propelled vessel
IMarEST TV recording by the South East England & London Home Counties Branch on the 14th October 2021. This webinar was presented by Jogchum Bruinsma, Application Manager Maritime, Nedstack fuel cell technology B.V
In this webinar, we look in on the PEM fuel cell technology in general and how to integrate as main power generators in ships.
As all other sectors as well as society the shipping industry is facing the major challenge of decarbonization resulting in a major reduction of GHG and other emissions. The use of hydrogen as a fuel is promising as well as challenging and requires a major shift in shore infrastructure, on board fuel storage and overall ship design.
In the midst, PEM fuel cells can be used for clean, zero-emission onboard power generation at a very low noise level.
